Cinclodes

One of the most important days to me, was October 31 of 2016, the day I survived to die frozen. A month ago, I met a girl that we started dating. The last weekend of October was going to be long, for that reason we decided to travel together. Our destination was Vilches, a little place close to Talca. It took us a day to arrive. When finally we arrived to Vilches, we enter to the forest. We prepared the tent to spend a cold night, and we learned a way to escape in case of emergency. We didn’t know that it was going to rain, and when it started it was very intense, so we had to protected ourselves in the tent. When it was very dark it started to get very cold, that was uncomfortable but at the same time it was fun to share it with my friend. We had not realized that it stopped raining and it began to snow, we only noticed when the carp was almost coming down. At that moment we took all our things and we escaped along the path we knew, but it no longer existed and we got lost in the dark...

In this semester I have had five subjects, and my practice that I consider anyway like a subject, because in Social Work career the practice is a mixture between investigation and intervention, so we  have also classes. Those five subjects are "Comparative analysis of public politics", "Subjects (individuals) and social movements", "English (pre intermediate level)", "Social analysis of territories", and "Social issue and inequalities". Well, I don't like very much any of these subjects, but I really love my practice in Diversity and Gender. This semester, we are doing an investigation in the district of Quilicura about homophobia, lesbophobia, and transphobia with a quantitative instrument. That instrument is a survey that delay 10 minutes or a little more, and we have to apply that survey to 380 persons of that district. That is very difficult and interesting. I think that I don't have a preference for a particular expert, but also, on my field we work some theories more than others. My theoretical field is diversity and gender, and I do my practice on this topics. For example, we work with the post-estructural paradigm where it stands out the deceased French teacher Michel Foucault. And another approach is the queer theory, where an important exponent is Judith Butler, a philosopher from Ohio, United States. But nevertheless, I think that my own teachers are more important to me, especially my guide teachers from my practice. Their names are Caterine Galaz and Lelya Troncoso. I don't know a lot of information about their personal lives, I know that they live with their boyfriends, and I know that miss Catherine has a little child. But even though I do not know much about them, I choose them because they are more important to my career path than other persons. I think I don´t have a favorite festivity, because I don't like the dates that other persons judge that are relevant. But, also, with my family this year we commemorate ten years since we separated from my dad. I don't think that was a celebration, but that date is important for us. When I was a child, I lived with my father, my mother, and my sister. My father was a very violent person, but he brought the money to my home and we couldn't do anything to change him. In 2008, my mom got a stable job as a history teacher, and she collected some salaries to leave my father's house. In January of 2009, she asked me and my sister if we wanted to leave the house with her, and we said "yes". And well, in January of this year we commemorated it with a symbolic dinner, and it was a nice and necessary meeting.

This photo was too difficult to take. The photographer was I, and I took it on "Castle Mountain" (Cerro Castillo) in Aysen Region. It was in the first weekend of March of this year.  In that weekend I travel to south with my sister Emily in airplane, it was our first flight and was scary, but not too much. This image is very important to me, maybe not the photo itself but yes all the trip. When we arrive to our destiny, we wait for two days to start a trekking, the "Castle Mountain Jouney", a five days hiking. We have to wait because it was raining, but after it we could walk. That trek was too hard, and in the 3rd day we success to reach the top, and then, I turn On my phone and took this photograph. In this place, we stay for two days, and a flock of cinclodes patagonicus accompanied us, a birds that vulgar named "churrete". It was because I met that i named this blog "Cinclodes".

The technology is not my favorite area, but I enjoy it anyway. I use diferent technological things at daily, and with the time happen, I understand the computer systems and another related things. My favourite piece of technology, are my smartphone, that because I utilize this tool to variated aplications. I have it since November of last year. For example, I really love make music, and I recently discovered that there is an app called "FL studio mobile" for smartphones, with which you can make digital music easily . Another use that I usually give is like a camera to make photography, because the cellphone that I have has a good camera resolution. And also, I give another different utilities to my phone, like a memo pad, a microphone, for messaging, and so on.
